Black has become the unofficial uniform of the professional photographer but this is not always the case. At weddings it is important to look like a photographer and not a guest. Particularly so if you are a guest as well or you know the clients. Your clothes and shoes should also be comfortable because you will be the hardest worker at the wedding.

Your clothing, jewellery, vehicle and equipment are all part of the image. And the client is paying not just for end results but also for your image. You may not agree that this is important but it is a factor you need to consider.

‘Are digital cameras as good as film cameras?' is one of the most common questions fired at me these days. The short answer is ‘Yes!' But the question and the answer are superficial and do not address the much more important issue. ‘Is digital a viable alternative to film in terms of running a professional practice?'
