Compression This means that the photographer can change 'film type' and 'speed' during the shoot which is an enormous advantage. One severe limitation with 'point and shoot' digital cameras is that of 'shutter lag'. This is the frustrating delay between the instant of pressing the shutter and the photograph being taken. For the professional or serious portrait photographer, this problem makes portrait photography, especially of children, very difficult. This problem does not occur with the more expensive, professional SLR digital cameras. |
